GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

Employees and students of this institution are free to represent their grievances to the grievance cell established at this institution. Immediate attention shall be given to each grievance. Wherever necessary immediate remedial measure shall also be taken.

The terms of references of the committee

  • To look into the representations of the staff and students forwarded by the Director of the institution.
  • To fix date for the enquiry.
  • Sending intimation to the applicant and related individuals and providing opportunities to them to convey their versions.
  • Submitting the report of the committee to the Director, on or before the date fixed by him.

ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE

Anti-Ragging Committee consisting of senior faculty and headed by Director.

  • Committee has taken steps and allotted duties to all the staff members at almost all areas in the college (i.e. canteen, parking places, different blocks, play grounds etc.) and ensure that at least one faculty member will be present at any particular time at all the locations to avoid ragging committee has taken precautions to avoid ragging activities at other locations like bus stops, canteen etc.,
  • Wide canvassing about anti-ragging, is being done in the forms of flexes, posters and boards in college premises and surrounding areas where there is a chance of ragging.

    ANTI-SEXUAL HARASSMENT CELL

    The institution has a comprehensive and effective policy against sexual harassment. It has established a committee to look into the issues relating to the sexual harassment. The same committee also takes care of issues relating to the gender sensitization. This committee has been established with the instructions of the Pondicherry University and to comply with directions of the Hon’ble Supreme court of India. The composition of the committee is as follows.

    The terms of reference of the committee

    • To organize programs on gender sensitization.
    • To organize programs for crisis management and meditation.
    • To file complaints.
    • To conduct formal enquiry and submit the findings of the committee to the Director cum principal, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College for further action.
    • To create the awareness of the provisions of law relating to women.
