Nila CRS Nila CRS – Live

The institution has established a Community Radio Station with the permission of the Ministry of Broadcasting, Government of India. The prime objective of Nila CRS is to broadcast vital information and guidance required for the rural mass in the areas of health, education, women development and agriculture. It reaches around 40 villages around the institution wherein the residents appreciated the programs of Nila CRS. To motivate the people to listen the program for becoming beneficiary, they are invited to take part in the program for expressing their talent and views. For this, we have organized many camps like medical camp, AIDS awareness camp, herbal plants and medicine awareness camp and camp on nutrition rich food, etc. Many community people attended the camp and shared their views. We are able to fetch women from surrounding villages to make programs based on their locality needs through the tie up we have with women Self Help Group.

Aarogya Nila is the signature program of Nila CRS. This need based medical program receives greeting from the entire community especially women and elderly people. They strongly believe: Health is Wealth; and hope to attain anything, if they remain healthy. Based on their request to focus on preventive measures and treatment for epidemic and endemic diseases, we broadcast programs to accomplish their needs. The program covers various aspects of medicine in which orientation is given to herbal medicine. The program is scheduled to broadcast everyday at 11 a.m. and sometimes, there will be repeated programs. By broadcasting the medical programs, we are happy in becoming a part of creating disease free community by rendering our unintentional service to the society.

The noteworthy services of Nila CRS are:

  • Kumalam village people are safe guarded from water born diseases through our program
  • Palayam village people are secured with the guidelines of our program, how to treat first aid for snake/ insect bite using natural/ herbal medicine. Once, they are safeguarded by the medical team for the above stated problem. Also we have eradicated the wasp-like insects bite issues in the Palayam village using Forest Department.
  • Our water conservation program helped R.R. Palayam people to conserve water during rainy season.
  • To educate people, Prevention is better than cure; programs on importance of consuming nutritious food are broadcasted. Moreover through our CRS, we are conducting Nutritious food Cooking competitions. This competition not only created competitive spirits but also makes people to accustom to prepare nutritious food.
