SMVEC received the AICTE sponsorship to establish Skill and Personality Development Program Center for SC/ ST students under AICTE Quality Improvement Scheme (AQIS).The institute is keen in developing the English language proficiency and other skill sets of SC/ST students in line with Global Standards to compete in the competitive environment of workforce. The focal objective of the program is to equip the overall personality, employability and entrepreneurial skills of the SC/ST students in order to complement with industrial expectations.According to the emerging employment opportunities, the students’ skills are carved by providing special trainings along with academics.

Objectives of SPDC

  • To advanceexpertise in four language skills ( LSRW) of SC & ST students
  • To provide a conducive environment for SC/ST students by means ofpractical exposure towards communication activitiesto face interview confidently and grab better job opportunities
  • To identify the inherent ability of students pertaining to language skills and expand the same through varied life skills training
  • To progress the individualismof SC/ST students by elevating essential soft skills required to compete in the industries
  • To organize multiple orientation programs, seminar, and webinar by inviting prominent persona and academicians
  • To organize personality development workshops/competitions among the students in order to test the degree of their learning
  • To devise a feed-back mechanism to assess the importance of the program
